![]() ![]() I do think that they could have been good if they had a thinner and better tasting dough. While I won’t be purchasing these again, I am not giving up on Mochi all together. I will probably end up throwing them away (which I never do) because I just don’t like the texture and taste of the dough. Unfortunately, I didn’t like these at all. Others said that they couldn’t stand the taste and had to throw them out. Many people state that these are so good, and that they couldn’t eat just one. It seemed like people were divided over loving these and not liking these at all. I was also interested to see what other people thought of the Mochi ice cream at Costco. I really hate giving a bad review about a product, but I also want to be honest. If I had to rate them from my favorite to least favorite, I would say that the best tasting one was the strawberry, followed by the mango, and my least favorite was definitely the green tea. I honestly had a hard time even eating it because it was not very good at all.Įven my kids, who will eat anything that has ice cream, wouldn’t even eat them. The rice dough on the outside was just way too doughy and thick. It was just the texture and taste of the rice dough on the outside that I didn’t care for. The Ice Cream in the center was very good (except the green tea flavor). I was very surprised that I didn’t actually like the taste of this Mochi Ice Cream. I let my Mochi Ice Cream sit out on a plate for a couple minutes before trying it. The instructions included on the box say that you should let the Mochi sit out a minute or two before eating. Since I had never tried Mochi before, I honestly had no idea what to expect. Unfortunately they look better than they tasted. I really thought that they would taste great too. Although these are chicken sausages they still have a decent amount of sodium and fat.The Mochi Ice Cream at Costco looked so cute and fun. The ingredients list is pretty straightforward and doesn’t have anything listed that I find too alarming. One sausage is 160 calories, 10 grams of fat, two grams of carbohydrates, zero grams of fibre, zero grams of sugar, 16 grams of protein and 670 milligrams of sodium. I think these are more like a sausage to serve with a side of rice, potatoes or salad rather than a hot dog. The sausages need to be kept refrigerated and come in two separate packs of six. Personally, I wouldn’t want to keep them until April. The best-before date listed on the sausages is seven months from the date purchased, which seems like a really long time to me. The pack of 12 sausages costs $15.99 Canadian which in my opinion is a bit expensive for chicken sausages. ![]() Today I’m reviewing sausages that I’ve seen at Costco for a long time but never have tried!
